The Woman Behind the Vision
Sharday Freeman is a devoted wife, mother, leader, and woman of faith who understands firsthand the many roles women carry each day. As a daughter, sister, mom of five, employee, and First Lady, she has experienced the weight of responsibility that often leaves little room for rest and restoration.
Driven by both her personal journey and her passion for helping women thrive, Sharday is the visionary behind R.E.S.T. — a space created to encourage women to pause, reflect, and embrace the power of renewal. She believes that in a fast-paced and demanding world, intentional rest is not a luxury, but a necessity.
Sharday earned her Associate’s Degree in Psychology from Georgia Perimeter College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Georgia State University. Her educational background, combined with her life experiences, fuels her commitment to supporting women mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
She has been happily married to her husband, Dr. Ellery Freeman Sr., since November 2020, and together they are raising their five children with love, faith, and purpose. Through her work, Sharday aims to remind every woman that even in the midst of life’s demands, her effort matters—and her rest is essential.
The Purpose Behind R.E.S.T.
Our Vision
At R.E.S.T. – Realizing Every Sister Tries Inc., our vision is to cultivate a transformative community where women are empowered to pause, heal, and rise into their fullest potential. We envision a world where every woman feels seen, supported, and celebrated—not just for her accomplishments, but for her resilience and willingness to keep trying.
Why R.E.S.T.
R.E.S.T. reminds us that it is okay to pause. It is okay to breathe. It is okay to step back and be renewed. When we do not allow ourselves that space, we risk burnout, discouragement, and losing sight of who we are and what we are called to do.
Restoration
Restoration is at the heart of R.E.S.T.—a sacred return to who you are beyond the pressure, the expectations, and the constant demands of life. It is the process of being renewed mentally, spiritually, and emotionally after pouring so much into others.
